My sister wanted the resort credit so I agreed to go. I couldn't imagine having nicer service and for us it doesn't seem worth it to be married to one specific resort when we're getting royal treatment there already without a leash.Į Hotel itself was beautiful but I purchased my vacation threw Costco travel upon checking in my sister and I where offered a complimentary $750 dollars in resort credit for 90 minutes tour. They made it sound like Palace basically has you pre-pay all of your stays and it just becomes another monthly payment like a mortgage, but you're tied to only that report group (albeit a really nice one in our experience.) As a member you can get upgrades and a different bracelet and vacations at a relatively discount rate, but we booked through Costco and were able to fly down first class round trip for 7 days and it was $3500 and we received world class treatment the whole week, including top shelf booze included for non-members (Bombay Sapphire gin, Belvedere vodka, etc (you have to request it specifically)). One couple we met was a little older, had 3 kids and 6 grand kids and they still had over 100 weeks at the resorts they couldn't use up or give away. The main message from 4 or 5 different member couples was DONT SIGN UP. Though we're not members, here's what the members did tell us throughout the week. If a resort setting with a nice pool, restaurants, golf, spa, and on site service is for you, then you will probably be happy with Moon Palace. We were just there at Sun Palace all last week and spent the day at Moon Palace Sunrise for our final day. If you are into the beach and shopping, this isn't for you. This comes down to what you want from your vacation. Since this resort is farther south from the zone, shopping at the malls will involve transportation to get back and forth. The restaurants are very good and plenty to choose from. The staff is excellent and will provide you with great service. About half the time you may end up walking because a cart just doesn't show up for a long while. Carts come by to provide transportation between rooms and the main building. The Sunrise (this part of Moon Palace) has 1300 rooms. The pool on the other hand is very nice and an attractive area to hang out in. Most of you would be disappointed with this beach. The water is more green and the waves break farther off shore. Serves smoked ribs, hot sandwiches and moreįirst off, the beach is not part of the "hotel zone", this is located south of there.International lunch buffet and sizzling steak specialities for dinner.Cuisine: Pastries, ice cream, crepes and speciality coffee.Traditional restaurant with a touch of elegance.Stylish restaurant with Teppanyaki live cooking stations.Cuisine: International and Italian specialities.Buffet breakfast, and a la carte menu for dinner.Distance from airportĬancun International Airport is approximately 12km away from Moon Palace Cancun Golf and Spa Resort.
